One year after failing miserably in the finals against Boston Celtics, Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers did it this time. They finished a season with a 99-86 win over orlando Magic on Sunday night (Monday morning in Phil.) in Game 5 to win the 15th NBA title in franchise history.
This season was the fourth championship and first without his former teammate, Shaquille O’neal.
For Lakers coach Phil Jackson, this was title No. 10, moving him past legendary Celtics coach Red Auerbach for the most by a coach in league history.
Bryant, the final’s MVP, lead the team with an averaged of 32.4 points, 7.4 assists, 5.6 rebounds and more than a dozen cold-blooded glares per game. Odom scored 17 points, Ariza had 15, Gasol 14 and 15 rebounds, and Fisher, whose two big 3s in Game 4 saved L.A., had 13 points.
Jackson, who once called Bryant “a selfish player” now sees the 30-year-old in a far different light. He said that Bryant now learned how to be a leader in a way in which people want to follow him. Bryant knew that he had to give to get back in return and becomes a giver rather than just a guy that’s a demanding leader.
On the other side, the Magic’s superhero, Dwight Howard had only 11 pts and took just nine shots. Rashard Lewis scored 18 points.
When the game ended, Howard didn’t move. As his teammates headed to the locker room, Howard stayed on Orlando’s bench and watched as the Lakers celebrated on the Magic’s floor.
Indeed, it was a great game for the Magic but it just so happened that the Lakers was the better team. It was a lesson for them to practice more in preparation for the next season.

Bryant had 35 points and 10 assists to help the Lakers dispatched the Denver Nuggets from the Western Conference Finals. While a big disappointment from LeBron James of the Cleveland Cavaliers when the Orlando Magic takes the road to the final after their Game 6 by a score of 103-90. Dwight Howard dominated the paint for 40 points and grabbed 14 rebounds to clinch the Eastern Conference Finals.

April 7, 2009. That was the day this book was given to me. It was a graduation present for us given by the staff of Auza.net, the company where I had my OJT and currently where I am working now.
40 Stories of Passion. The book written by Bo Sanchez. Actually, I am not a fan of reading books but I was curious on what was stated there on the book that all it takes is one story to change our lives forever.
I started reading the book as a past time. It includes 40 different stories front 40 different people. I read one story every night before I go to sleep. Every story has a lot of lessons to learn. Lessons that can make you realize, think and ask for yourself if how close are you to Him. I’m not that kind of a religious type person but every time I’m done reading a story, it makes me ponder for a while on how was relation to Him.
Yeah, I know my friends will laugh at me and say,”Pag-sure ui…” because they know as not like these. Well, it’s me. Hehehe…
Now, I’m done reading all the unbelievable stories of 40 people. You out there, maybe you should try reading this book. Trust me, it’s worthy.

AJAX is based on JavaScript and HTTP requests. It is a type of programming made popular in 2005 by Google (with Google Suggest). It is not a new programming language, but a new way to use existing standards. It is a group of interrelated web development techniques used to create interactive web applications or rich Internet applications. With Ajax, web applications can retrieve data from the server asynchronously in the background without interfering with the display and behavior of the existing page. Data is retrieved using the XMLHttpRequest object.
Ajax uses a combination of:
- HTML and CSS for marking up and styling information.
- The DOM accessed with JavaScript to dynamically display and interact with the information presented.
- A method for exchanging data asynchronously between browser and server, therewith avoiding page reloads. The XMLHttpRequest (XHR) object is usually used, but sometimes an IFrame object or a dynamically added
<script> tag is used instead.
- A format for the data sent to the browser. Common formats include XML, pre-formatted HTML, plain text, and JSON. This data could be created dynamically by some form of server-side scripting.
One example of AJAX riched website is FACEBOOK.

Virtualization. Sounds TECHIE, right? Well, virtualization is a broad term that refers to the abstraction of computer resources. In computing, platform virtualization is a virtualization of computers or operating systems. It hides the physical characteristics of computing platform from the users instead showing another abstract, emulated computing platform.
Virtual box is one of the “virtualization” product. When we describe VirtualBox as a “virtualization” product, we refer to “full virtualization”, that is, the particular kind of virtualization that allows an unmodified operating system with all of its installed software to run in a special environment, on top of your existing operating system. This environment, called a “virtual machine”, is created by the virtualization software by intercepting access to certain hardware components and certain features. The physical computer is then usually called the “host”, while the virtual machine is often called a “guest”. Most of the guest code runs unmodified, directly on the host computer, and the guest operating system “thinks” it’s running on real machine. It is not only an extremely feature rich, high performance product for enterprise customers, it is also the only professional solution that is freely available as Open Source Software under the terms of the GNU General Public License (GPL).
Presently, VirtualBox runs on Windows, Linux, Macintosh and OpenSolaris hosts and supports a large number of guest operating systems including but not limited to Windows (NT 4.0, 2000, XP, Server 2003, Vista), DOS/Windows 3.x, Linux (2.4 and 2.6), Solaris and OpenSolaris, and OpenBSD. It means that you can run multiple Operating Systems simultaneously without rebooting your system, well it depends on the capability of your system.
It is distributed by the Sun Microsystems, Inc. For more info on VirtualBox, visit www.virtualbox.org.

PhilNITS stands for Philippine National IT Standards Foundation.
The Fundamental IT Engineers Exam (FE) is one of the 14 exams given by the Japan IT Engineers Examination Center (JITEC) of the Information technology Promotions Agency (IPA) of the Ministry of Economy, Trade & Industry (METI) of Japan. These exams are based on an established Information Technology Engineers Skill Standards (ITSS).
The FE Exam is used to evaluate the knowledge and skills of an IT personnel (engineer) on the fundamentals of I.T.
The Fundamental IT Engineers Exam (FE) requires the person to have the ability to develop a good program by making full use of techniques related to basic-level algorithm and data structure. The FE Exams also requires the person to be able to successfully carry out jobs such as program development, unit tests, and system integration tests.
Those who fail either the morning or afternoon part of the exam are given 1 year to take the removal exam after which they will have to take the entire test again. This means 2 chances to pass the exam.
The 13th PhilNITS(JITSE) examination schedule will be on April 26, 2009 (FE Fundamental IT Engineers Exam and SW Software Engineers Exam).
I took this examination last October 19, 2008 together with my classmates but unfortunately, we did not pass maybe because we were not prepared. Early this year, me and my classmate got a memo from JITEC that we were given another chance to take the exam. I admit that I am not really prepared for this because this exam needs much preparations and I am not ready yet. But because we were sponsored by the sponsors of PhilNITS, I will grab this opportunity. Who knows? -lol-
